For Payt administrations using the 'Clearing' module, Payt can automatically add additional processing fees to patient invoices. Two types of processing fees are available, and a separate tax percentage can be configured for each.
You can view the processing fee settings in your administration settings under the 'Declaration upload' tab, but cannot change them yourself. A Payt employee can help you with this.
Types of processing fees
Processing fee when payment is due from the patient: these fees are charged when the patient has to pay the declaration in full or in part themselves (i.e. when no zero amount invoice is sent).
You can find this setting under 'Additional processing costs charged to the patient when the patient has to pay the declaration (partially)'.
Processing fee for postal delivery: these fees are charged when the invoice has to be sent by post. Is the invoice fully reimbursed by the health insurer? Then these fees are not charged.
You can find this setting under 'Additional processing costs charged to the patient when the invoice has to be sent by postal delivery'.
Tax percentage
A separate tax percentage of 0%, 9%, or 21% can be configured for the processing fees.
