How do I configure per invoice type whether an invoice is imported and/or sent?

Not every invoice needs to be processed in the same way. Configure per invoice type whether it is imported and sent, imported only, or not imported at all in Payt.

Which invoice types can be configured?

Payt allows you to configure the handling separately for the following invoice types:

  • Zero invoices: invoices with a total amount of €0.00.

  • Prepaid invoices: invoices that have already been paid before they are imported into Payt.

  • Credit invoices: invoices with a negative amount, for example in the case of a refund or correction.

How can invoices be handled in Payt?

For each invoice type, you can choose from the following options:

  • Import and send: the invoice is imported into Payt and sent to your customer. Payt follows up on the invoice as usual.

  • Import but do not send: the invoice is imported into Payt, but no communication is sent to your customer. The invoice is visible in your administration but will not be followed up.

  • Do not import: the invoice is ignored entirely and not loaded into Payt. It will therefore not be visible in your administration.

How do I configure the handling of invoice types?

  1. Go to the administration settings via the gear icon in the top left.

  2. Select the 'Import' tab on the left.

  3. Scroll to the 'Settings' section.

  4. Choose the desired processing option for each invoice type:

    1. Handling of zero invoices

    2. Handling of prepaid invoices

    3. Handling of credit invoices

  5. Save your changes at the bottom of the page.

The settings will apply to all newly imported invoices of the relevant type from that point forward.

What do I need to keep in mind?

  • Changes to the settings are not retroactive. Invoices that have already been imported will not be reprocessed.

  • If you choose not to import an invoice type, this cannot be undone for those specific invoices. If you still want to import them, please contact the Payt service desk.
