How does connecting a bailiff in Payt work?

At the end of a debt collection case in Payt, you can choose to involve a bailiff to start a legal collection process.

Please note: Payt is not a debt collection agency. With Payt’s software, you carry out the amicable debt collection process yourself. You always remain responsible for the execution and follow-up of the debt collection process.

Which bailiffs can I connect with?

You can forward collection cases in Payt to any bailiff. Payt has a direct integration with several judicial collection partners. You can also choose to engage a different bailiff.

Bailiffs with a direct integration

  1. Open your administration settings via the gear icon in the top right of Payt.

  2. Open the 'Invoicing' tab on the left.

  3. Under 'Judicial collection partners' you will find the bailiffs with which Payt has a direct integration.

  4. Click on a bailiff's logo to read more about them and visit their website.

Bailiffs without a direct integration

Want to use a different bailiff without a direct integration with Payt? Once you have configured this, collection cases at the end of the process will be sent to your notification email address. You can then forward the case yourself to the bailiff you work with.

How do I link a bailiff (with or without a direct integration) to Payt?

You can choose a bailiff with a direct integration in Payt, but it is also possible to engage a bailiff without a direct integration.

  1. Open your administration settings via the gear icon in the top right of Payt.

  2. Open the 'Invoicing' tab on the left.

  3. Scroll to the 'Judicial collection partners' section and decide whether you want to link to a bailiff with a direct integration in Payt, or engage a different bailiff of your own choice.

    1. Want to link to a bailiff with a direct integration in Payt? Navigate to that bailiff's logo and select 'Select as my judicial collection partner'.

    2. Want to link to a bailiff without a direct integration with Payt? Select 'Own judicial collection partner'.
