Messages in the inbox can be forwarded directly to an email address outside Payt. Both incoming and outgoing messages can be forwarded. Forwarded messages are not visible to the customer in the online invoice portal.
Forwarding a message
Open the desired message in the inbox.
Click 'Forward' in the top right corner.
A window opens. Fill in the following:
To
Enter the email address you want to forward the message to. There is no limit on the number of recipients.
CC / BCC (optional)
Add additional recipients using the '+ CC' or '+ BCC' buttons.
Reply to
Choose where you want to receive replies (read more below).
Message text (optional)
Add your own text at the top of the forwarded message, or use a standard message from the administration via the 'Standard messages' button in the top right of the screen.
Click 'Send' at the bottom.
The full original message is forwarded, including the entire message history and any attachments. The forwarded message is visible at the bottom of the mail thread in the Payt inbox. The recipient sees the administration's sender address as the sender, not a Payt address.
'Reply to': determine where replies go
When forwarding, you choose how any replies from the recipient are handled:
Option | What happens to the reply? | Visible in Payt? |
Inbox | The reply is sent back to the Payt inbox. The message is not visible to the customer. | Yes, in the inbox |
Sender | The reply is sent directly to the email address of the administration. The reply is not visible in the inbox. | No |
